Where is the most fun in Austin, TX, to stay for a weekend?
My boyfriend is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and I find Austin, TX the weekend, the first of May I want to know the best area for a hotel in Austin. I like clubs and bars. It centers or commercial areas, where many people and many things to do. I really want to stay in a hotel where I can walk around town I visit. I do not take my car … and has only a bicycle. Are there taxis there? I've never been to Texas … Your help would be grateful
There are some downtown hotels that I intend to explore. There is Driskill, 6, the Omni, 8 and Hilton 4. Of course, there are more "Austiny" hotels, but these places have a great location if you are planning to walk 5 + 6 street (bars, clubs, live music). 6th is very popular among college students and 5 more … adults? Chill? I'm not sure how to say … 6th Street is almost all the music dance with a purpose, miniskirts, jagerbombs collars jumped, and keep hair from her friend as she Barfs on the street. 5th St has more rock and jazz music is usually more seats in the institutions. It is still quite fun though. I have 25 years and often these areas. It depends what mood I am in fact, almost any place, it is only 21 years and over (and yes, still have the card). If your boyfriend wants sports bars, he would like Dad 6. The waiters are really cool and Nice. Fave is the place my boyfriend. Speakeasy 5 is very good. Almost always live music weekend Terrace and 59 is on the roof deck. They have really great rest areas above. If you like jazz, there is no elephant in the room of Congress between 3 and 4. He has a kind of underground jazz feel to it (perhaps because it is in a basement … lol). Almost always remain in the downtown Hilton when I was visiting the center (I live in the city!). That's about $ 250 per night if you book in advance. They have 24 hours room service (Omni have to) and a very decent spa (massage with hot stones and the pink face are my favorites). Yes, there are taxi services. 512.478.2222 (I use very often) Also, the middle of the night you can find plenty of cycle (chariot seats by a boy / girl on a bicycle). If you want to go to a mall Barton Creek Square Mall is not too far. We need to take a taxi though. If you want some more quality, I suggest the area. It's a little later (10 minutes north APX). If you like comedy, I suggest you have a show at Esther Follies (at 6th St Red River). I take all my friends to see their show (changes periodically) and always have a blast. Drinks expensive makes damn good considering that they come in a plastic cup, but good. Tip: The seats are the way forward. Only $ 5 more per person.
