I bought an AV composite cable for TV movies on my itouch, but the sound and video are not, why?

I bought this cable I http://www.radioshack.com/pwr/product-reviews/Portable-Music/Accessories/Gigaware/p/3523803-Gigaware-trade-Composite-AV-Cable-for-iPod-reg-and- iPhone 8GB reg.html gene itouch have in operation a second on the firmware 4.1 and I have a Toshiba TV 52 inch widescreen. I went into the video settings and changed a big screen. did not work. I triple checked all the cables and still does not work. My itouch is jailbroken if I use to and the use of a within the parameters and hit TV dTunes and used to work. but now it does not work I can do dTunes. And maybe I can do at work if u help me solve my problem dTunes. Every time I put a movie in my itouch my pc does not go dTunes So is there a way to get the movie from the video file dTunes? or maybe not, or a program that allows TV output let me look. my itouch is jailbroken if I use Cydia.
