What are my chances of getting into Ut Austin? Is it really as difficult as people say?
My information, in short:
GPA: 3.9
Rank: Second quarter…
SAT: a bit more than 1700
Volunteer/Work: not very much, just a few things.
Extracurriculars: a crapload of stuff. I’ve been super involved in the theatre department throughout all of high school. I’ve been in almost every play, gotten awards, in drama club and inductee of the thespian society, and just recently, at the thespian convention, I participated in the Texas Individual Events Showcase competition, and I advanced to Nationals. that would explain why i dont have much volunteer and work experience…
Classes: I’ve taken at least a couple AP classes every year. I’m generally a good student. Never get in trouble. Just, theatre can get in the way a lot of the time.
Essays: I’ve already finished them. My mother always said that I got my writing ability from her. and that’s a compliment.
I don’t know… ahhhhh.
What do you guys think?
Any kind of response is greatly appreciated!
UT really doesn’t look at the writing portion of your SAT, so as long as the reading/math parts are good, you should be good on that. Probably about a 600+ on both of those. Your extracurricular activities are really strong. Your essays are important; make sure that theyre unique because that’s really big with universities.
Good luck!
