What U.S. city is the best place to live? Why?

My wife and I are bored here in Austin, Texas, because There is virtually nothing to do. We are not sports and they both graduated from college so we're not at your university. We both films we're not into music much, but here is the music capital. In the direction of the race is probably the worst place to have a career as compensation is cheap and things are very expensive. The bus system is terrible because it is slow and inefficient and drives all around the world. The only reason we are here because of our immediate family to be, but my question is, where is the best city in America to live? We like doing things in our spare time, be able to take transit public a lot as the gas is about $ 4, have a great career and things have to be very reasonable. I know you're thinking … is expensive to live in a big city like Los Angeles, but you can live outside the city and pay much less, take the bus or subway anywhere when you're bored, you can find many things to do!
