austin weather 8 day
Places in Austin TX to visit anyone?

I am moving to Austin in 8 days, yay!
I don’t know much about the place… do you have any suggestions of where to go while I go there? I really want to fall in love with Austin ans it’s surroundings. I do not like hot weather so I have to find places to love despite the weather. I like aaaaall kinds of activities and places. THANKS!

Zilker Park, Barton Springs Pool, Mount Bonnell, Lady Bird Lake and the hike and bike trails are all in town as are parts of Lake Austin. Visit the shops and restaurants on SoCo (South Congress). Travel out RR 2222 or 2244 (Bee Caves Rd.)and go to Lake Travis and make your way to the Oasis Restaurant late in the day for a view of the sun setting over Lake Travis that sometimes draw ovations from the patrons. The place is on top of a high cliff over the lake and they have built stairs and decking on the cliff. It’s beautiful.

UT football games and baseball at the Disch. Cruise or walk “the Drag”, which is Guadalupe bordering the UT campus. Cheeseburgers and cold beer at the Crown & Anchor Pub.

I could go on for a while.

North Austin and South Austin have different personnas. North is more like a large metropolitan area and south is a little more laid back.

Supreme silliness doesn’t stop The Day After Tomorrow from being lots of fun for connoisseurs of epic-scale disaster flicks. After the blockbuster profits of Independence Day and Godzilla, you can’t blame director Roland Emmerich for using global warming as a politically correct excuse for destroying most of the northern hemisphere.
