Austin, 6th Street and the stadium ut?
We intend to go to Austin for the UT game this fall, and I'm looking hotel. but I'm not sure what area we want to see on the street near the stadium and 6, should be sought? considered downtown, residential neighborhood, north of Austin south or east? I in the middle, but I do not want to be deceived and have gone through the city, want to be, and MapQuest is not working properly I can not make anything up. thanks for your help!
6 of the street in the city and while the stadium is technically located on the campus, which is still considered the city center. Therefore, both regions known as the city center and only 15 blocks. You can choose a hotel in central, south, or near I-35 and Ben White area and be close enough action. Unlike what others have posted, you can book your hotel motel / during the football season (2-3 weeks in advance is enough), and while UT ticket can be sold, there are still tickets available for home games (center of the piece, the notes of the city, craigslist, etc or purchased from someone outside the stadium).
