Famous Austin
The city of Austin, Texas, was established in early 1800 and for nearly 200 years been a magnate of the talents and visionaries. Austin has earned its reputation for making the cut in several "top ten" lists for their recognition efforts underway to green the most prosperous cities country. In addition to achievements Austin [the collective, the state capital of Texas was home to many famous faces who were born or immigrated to Austin's life and society.

7. Andy Roddick. Andrew Stephen Roddick was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but lived in Austin during the early years. Roddick is a champion tennis player and holds the record for fastest service in the history of sport.
8. Stevie Ray Vaughan. Born in Dallas, Mr. Vaughan was the recipient of more awards than a dozen musicians from Austin and was inducted into the Hall of Fame Blues. Tragically, Mr. Vaughan died in a helicopter crash August 27, 1990. It was only 35 years.
9. Molly Ivins. The girl was born Ivins Monterey, Ca, but later called to his home in Austin. Known for his sharp wit and political columns, Ms. Ivins out a distinguished career until his death from cancer breast in 2007. Ivins died in Austin at the age of 62.
10. Mike Judge. Comedian, entertainer, writer-director Mike Judge may be best known for creating Beavis and Butt-Head office, killing the additional funds in film and television. Honor lives in Austin and can be found playing guitar in the local circuit.
